Favero: A Legacy Forged in Grit and Craft

Favero is more than a name—it is the revival of a relentless spirit. A tribute to the hands that built, the vision that shaped, and the will that endured.

In the early 20th century, Pietro Favero carved his own path—an artisan, an entrepreneur, a man of resource and resolve. Landing in America at just 17, he crossed the Atlantic aboard Le Havre, leaving behind Vittorio Veneto, Italy—a city rich in cycling heritage—for the promise of something greater.

He arrived in New York, branded as a laborer. A worker who could read, write, and build. His journey led him to Dunmore, Pennsylvania, where he cut stone in the quarries, hewed coal from the mines, and refined the craft that would define him.

But Pietro was more than a laborer. He was a creator. His hands shaped not just stone, but opportunity. He built a small grocery, meeting the needs of an immigrant community. He farmed fresh produce, carved ice by hand, and engineered concrete forms that stood the test of time. When Bethlehem Steel called, he answered—working at the heart of industrial America, where iron and fire fueled a new era.

Today, Favero stands as a resurrection of that legacy. A name steeped in ingenuity, endurance, and the pursuit of excellence. A name that carries forward the craftsmanship, courage, and relentless drive of its founder.

The Favero family sigil, designed in 2017 by Justin Favero in collaboration with several talented artists, features a right facing rampant winged lion in an aggressive, competitive stance,  embodying the fight and will to x x x 

Leone Alato (winged lion) - a perfect representation of the spirit of our brand, products, and life on wheels culture; an agile, powerful, and elegant beast free to fly and explore the earth at will.

Floating crown adorned with a hammer and pick axe. Regal nature combined with a indomitable work ethic and humble family beginnings in the coal mine. Labors of love.

Crown and foot placement represent the balance and earthly challenges between grounding and dreaming - encouraging all to dream bigger.

Enclosed with a sharp, crisp crest as a nod to Vittorio Veneto, who’s regional association with the winged lion is rooted in 300+BC.

Favero was re-founded in 2019 by self taught designer Justin Favero, a fourth generation entrepreneur and descendant of five generations of garment, steel, coal mining, and metal fabrication workers.

Favero currently serves as the brand’s Creative Director and oversees operations, product design, client and creative initiatives on a day to day basis.

“My great grandfather, Pietro Favero, took a life changing risk in 1912 to give his family a better life. He worked and sacrificed in the coal mines of Pennsylvania like so many other Italian immigrants.  I’m the son of steelworkers, coal miners, fabricators, artists, entrepreneurs, and risk takers. It’s an honor to create a brand in their memory.

Riding and restoring bicycles helped me discover a passion for design during my most challenging times. I can only hope to pass along the joys and freedoms transportation culture can offer.

At times I have relied on bicycles as my only mode of transportation. I’m grateful for the hours spent riding, meditating, and connecting with the environment. Even now, riding is when I create collections and ideas for the brand. It’s been a collection of thousands of deep flow moments that put me and the company on this trajectory.

Favero is my calling and it’s been my vision since 2015. Through a series of life changing events, this dream… this obsession…this duty was birthed.

There are over 40 talented humans who are part of our team and have put their time and creative energy towards making this dream a reality.

It’s been an exciting journey to develop the most amazing products that will represent one of the world’s first highline sport and mobility lifestyle brands. I’m proud show our team’s creations to the world."
